For years MFX Internet and Pioneer Wireless have partnered to provide quality Internet service for Northern Maine. On August 1, 2006, Pioneer Wireless, Inc. will acquire the MFX Internet business. We look forward to serving MFX customers!One of the major concerns of MFX was that their customers would be served by a company that is local, customer-oriented, and able to keep up with the technological advances of the high-speed Internet world. Pioneer Wireless is located in Houlton, Maine, and we operate the largest high-speed wireless network in Maine. Learn more about our network.
The Pioneer team is dedicated to providing our customers with the best service possible. Our Network Operation Center monitors all the components of our network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Helpdesk staff accepts calls from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday and provides callback support via pager until 7PM Monday through Friday and 8AM to 12noon on Saturday. MFX customers may be used to calling a certain phone number and talking with a certain person for your technical support issues, but it is important that we (Pioneer) get to know you as a customer! Therefore, please begin using the new PWN contact information to communicate with PWN tech support starting August 1st, 2006.
There are some nice benefits to being a Pioneer customer, such as a free Internet Security Suite known as Pioneer Complete. This software has firewall, pop-up blocker, content filter, privacy features, as well as spyware and virus detection and removal capabilities. Pioneer Wireless also offers a "Send-A-Friend" incentive. We will give you a credit on your account if you refer a friend to Pioneer Wireless and they sign up for a year of service with us.
